'A crazy bird rescue mission kept the Smith household occupied on September 27, 2021.

This "adventurous" footage features Ashley Smith trying to safely remove a bird from her house, which was brought in by her cat, Cici.

"I am a forensic and emergency room nurse, which means I work long hours but have plenty of days off with my girls," Ashley wrote. "I have twin toddlers named Scarlett and Mila, and a few pets. When I saw the bird, I panicked and couldn’t believe it wasn’t flying around like crazy, so I tried to grab it bare-handed and chickened out. That's when I got a towel from the drawer."

She added: "When I jumped and yelled, my daughter Scarlett started crying, she’s always been the more sensitive one. So I got the bird and everyone followed me outside and I laid it in the flowers so it could fly away. The wind kept blowing the rag back onto the birdie but I figured it would fly away if we left it alone. After a while, I went back out to check on it, thinking it had gone away but it scared me one last time before flying away!"

Name: Ashley Smith
Location: Edwardsburg, Michigan, United States'
WooGlobe Ref : WGA216580
For licensing and to use this video, please email licensing@wooglobe.com
