Durga Puja spirit soared on Tuesday which marked Maha Saptami - seventh day of the Puja. The worship of Goddess Durga on the seventh-day began with Pran pratistha. On this day, the spirit of Durga as a warrior goddess is awakened, and she starts her battle against all evils. Bells chimed, cymbals clanged and the invigorating beats of "dhaak" (drums) set the evening for celebrations.
