More than a thousand homes are set to be protected from flooding in Tonbridge. <br /><br />Plans have been approved to expand the Leigh flood storage area on the River Medway which will divert more water away from populated areas in bad weather.<br /><br />But some residents fear that these measures are not enough to keep the town safe for long.
