A huge boost to the East of Kent - that's what's hoped a new 12 million pound station in Thanet will provide.<br /><br />North Thanet MP Sir Roger Gale's welcomed the announcement made by the government this morning which will see the high speed station created near Cliffsend. <br /><br />But there are concerns the plans are bad for the environment and will draw people away from Kent and into the capital.
