The leader of Medway Council's hit out at government plans to overhaul the way houses are built. <br /><br />Under proposals put forward by Boris Johnson, development would be given automatic permission if they fit the area.<br /><br />Cllr Alan Jarrett says the new system will damage local democracy and isn't tackling the root of the issue.
