Businesses across Kent are welcoming the extension of the furlough scheme hailing the measures as a lifeline for many workers severely affected by the pandemic. <br /><br />Chancellor Rishi Sunak's today confirmed employees will continue to be paid until the end of October as part of a pledge costing the government £14billion a month.
