A Kent MP is calling for tougher sentences for people coughing and spitting on emergency workers during the pandemic.<br />Sir Roger Gale is one of 16 members in the county that've co-signed a letter to the judiciary calling for a crackdown on the assaults.<br />It comes as new figures reveal 70 police officers have received abuse since the crisis began.
