Drug deaths in England and Wales are at the highest level since records began with Kent seeing the highest figures in the South East.<br /><br />Deaths from drug poisoning have gone up in the county but figures have decreased in Medway.<br /><br />Canterbury saw the biggest rise with 51 deaths between 2016 and 2018, a 50% increase since 2014. <br /><br />To talk more about these figures we were joined in the studio by Professor Alex Stevens from the University of Kent.
