Around 1,000 homes earmarked for construction across Canterbury have not yet been built despite government demands. <br /><br />The authority's Local Plan predicted work at all 14 of the largest sites would have begun by the start of April but so far, just 7 of the developments have been given the green light. <br /><br />Councillors have now labelled the housing targets as unrealistic.
