Plastic carrier bag fees could soon be doubled to 10p in all shops across Kent.<br /><br />It comes after figures revealed more than 3 billion single-use bags are supplied free each year by England's small businesses - with the new change coming into effect as early as January 2020.<br /><br />We asked shoppers in Maidstone if increasing the price of plastic bags will help reduce the amount of plastic waste.
