Environment secretary Michael Gove has said that Kent desperately needs to make sure its waters are saved from pollution.<br /><br />He joined others in Dover today as pollution campaigner Lewis Pugh finished his world record-breaking swim. Pugh swam 330 miles along the English Channel from Land's End to the White Cliffs.<br /><br />The UN Ocean's ambassador had previously called on the government to do more to tackle pollution on Kent's coastlines.
