A Tankerton ship dating back to the 16th century is now being protected by Historic England. <br /><br />The ship was found by lucky local historians last year on mud flats in the Whitstable suburb. <br /><br />The boat is the only known surviving medieval wreck in the South East and this week it has been excavated.
