Food banks across the country see a rise in demand over the summer months due to children no longer receiving free school meals. This causes families to struggle under the increased financial pressure.<br /><br />Last summer, holiday clubs stepped in, serving almost 200,000 meals to children who would've otherwise gone without.<br /><br />Medway Food Bank provides food for people in need across the Medway towns. Barbara Matthews Hodge and Christine Soper from the food bank joined us in the studio.
