Australian police officers have busted a driver with over AUD 7 million worth of meth hidden in pot plants in the back of his lorry.<br /><br />The incident took place near Yatala, which is a suburb in the city of Gold Coast, in the north-eastern Australian state of Queensland, on the afternoon of Tuesday 14th December, at approximately 4pm, according to the police.<br /><br />The footage shows police officers searching the lorry and allegedly finding over 22 lbs (10 kilograms) of methamphetamine worth in excess of AUD 7 million (USD 5.0 million).<br /><br />The footage was shared online by the Queensland police, who said: "Taskforce Sentry detectives have charged a Coomera man with drug offenses and seized 10 kilograms of methylamphetamine with a street value of over AUD 7 million following a truck intercept at Yatala yesterday afternoon."<br /><br />Methamphetamine is often referred to as 'methylamphetamine' in Australian legislation and by law enforcement.<br /><br />He was arrested and "charged with one count each of possession of dangerous drug (exceed quantity), possession of items for use in the commission of a crime, possession of items used in the commission of a crime and contravene requirement".<br /><br />They added that he has been remanded in custody and is "expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today" (Wednesday).<br /><br />December 14, 2021<br />Yatala, AUSTRALIA<br />Source: Queensland Police Department<br /><br />#Police #Drugs #Search #Arrest<br /><br />Subscribe to HotPursuit-ZengerNews: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrdl1YnSkzjCjr-ABUZTjcw?sub_confirmation=1
