On December 16, Karnataka, Gujarat and Delhi together reported 10 fresh cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. With this, India’s tally of the Omicron variant reaches 83. Meanwhile, Delhi reported 85 new Covid-19 cases, its highest single day rise in the last 137 days. So far, Maharashtra has reported the highest number of Omicron cases at 32.
