The tabling of the bill proposing amendments to the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342) has been postponed to the next sitting so that a consensus on the amendments can be reached with the opposition.<br /><br />Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said this following the parliamentary special select committee on health, science and technology meeting held this morning at 8am.<br /><br />"After discussion with the prime minister and the opposition leader just now, and also taking into account that attention should be given to the flood disaster right now, I would like to take the decision made by the select committee."
