Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj today to participate in what the government calls a "one of its kind programme" to be attended by over two lakh women. <br /> <br />PM Modi will initiate transfer of Rs 1,000 crore to Self Help Groups (SHGs) under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) to benefit about 16 lakh women members. <br /> <br />The Karnataka cabinet on Monday cleared the Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Bill 2021. The bill is likely to be tabled before the House today. <br /> <br />The draft bill proposes a maximum punishment of 10 years of imprisonment for forcible conversion of persons from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe communities, minors and women, to another religion.
