Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a reconsideration of the Centre’s decision to exclude the state’s proposed tableau from the Republic Day parade to be held in New Delhi on January 26. <br /> <br />In her letter, Banerjee said that she was “profoundly shocked” after the decision and more so because the tableau “was rejected without assigning any reasons or justifications.”
