Presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is still in the race after the Commission on Elections 2nd Division struck down a petition to block his bid over a tax offense conviction, which supposedly bars him from holding public office for life.<br /><br />But, the fight is still far from over especially for the anti-Marcos petitioners because there is still room for appeal. <br /><br />There are also other pending cases against the former senator before the poll body.<br /><br />Other presidential aspirants were unfazed, with Vice President Leni Robredo saying she’d rather defeat Marcos in the polls.<br /><br />Filipinos, meanwhile, are on edge.
