SWFHexplosion - By Harrison Moore <br /><br />This is the moment a group of NYPD officers rescued a trapped woman after a deadly gas explosion left one dead and several others injured.<br /><br />A total of around 200 firefighters and emergency personnel were called to the raging fire and building collapse in the Longwood section of the Bronx yesterday morning.<br /><br />The explosion caused the property to catch alight and first responders were on the scene within four minutes of the blast. <br /><br />Shortly after, NYPD officers arrived to assist in evacuating neighbouring buildings which had also been badly damaged by the explosion.<br /><br />The NYPD released a dramatic video from an officer's body-worn camera showing how cops bravely responded to the incident.<br /><br />The video shows the officer's point of view as he runs down the road and into a severely damaged house adjacent to the house that exploded.<br /><br />A woman trapped under a couch can be heard crying for help, to which officers already inside quickly respond by freeing her from debris.<br /><br />One 77-year-old woman was sadly killed by the blast and eight others, including five police officers, were injured.<br /><br />The video was filmed at 11am on January 18.<br /><br />ENDS
