Police have launched an investigation after the bodies of a 47-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were discovered at a house.<br /><br />Officers forced their way into the property in Swancote Road, Stechford, Birmingham after concerns were raised that the couple was not responding to calls or messages. <br /><br />The tragic pair were found inside the family home and pronounced dead at around 9.30 pm on Thursday night (27/1). <br /><br />West Midlands Police has sealed off the address to conduct thorough forensic examinations of the scene. <br /><br />The force said the couple's family was being supported by specially trained family liaison officers and a post mortem will be carried out this afternoon (Fri). <br /> <br />Chief Superintendent Mat Shaer, from Birmingham East Police, said: “This is truly awful and my heart goes out to the couple’s family and friends. <br /> <br />“It was clear that nothing could be done to save the man or woman. <br /> <br />“No doubt this will come as a huge shock to neighbours and the local community. <br /><br />"But we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider public.”<br /><br />West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were not required at the scene.
