An eight-year-old boy has tragically died after suffering a cardiac arrest at a soft play centre.<br /><br />Emergency services were called to Crash Bang Wallop in Walsall Wood, West Mids., at around 4.30pm on Tuesday afternoon (1/2).<br /><br />The boy was given advanced life support at the scene before being flown by air ambulance to Birmingham Children's Hospital where he sadly died. <br /><br />Family members have since taken to social media to thank staff for attempting to save the tragic boy, who has not yet been named. <br /><br />One relative wrote: "Thank you to everyone at Crash Bang Wallop, for all of your kindness, help and support this evening. <br /><br />"It must of been very traumatic for you all. I cannot thank you enough for looking after my family. All our love. Nanny xx" <br /><br />West Midlands Police said the youngster's death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.<br /><br />A force spokesperson said: "We were called to a play centre on Lindon Road, Walsall yesterday (1 Feb) to reports a child had gone into cardiac arrest.<br /><br />"An eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of emergency services, he sadly died.<br /><br />"His death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner."<br /><br />A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 4.26pm to reports of a medical emergency on Lindon Road, Walsall. <br /><br />"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, two Critical Care Cars from the Air Ambulance Service and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.<br /><br />"Upon arrival we found a child in a critical condition. He received advanced life support from ambulance staff on scene and was conveyed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for further assessment."<br /><br />Crash Bang Wallop declined to comment on the incident but announced on social media the venue would remained closed today (Wed). <br /><br />One customer, who said she witnessed what happened, wrote: "Literally haven't stopped thinking about him or his poor mom and brother! The staff was amazing! <br /><br />"The lady that works there with the blond hair (not sure of her name) she was incredible and dealt with it amazing! Sending love to everyone involved! <br /><br />"Mom was so strong for her boy."<br /><br />Another added: "He's all I can think about....the staff were bloody amazing n all, so much respect to everyone today for how staff responded."
