This is the incredible moment firefighters rescued a dog who had fallen down a 15-foot hole in the ground.<br /><br />Officers attended the scene in Paxton, Florida last week (9/2) after receiving reports that a pooch named Maddie had gotten trapped.<br /><br />South Walton Fire District’s Technical Rescue Team arrived at about 3pm and assessed the air quality inside the cavity, before sending down a ladder.<br /><br />The dog was also given a bucket of water ahead of the rescue.<br /><br />A firefighter then descended, attached to a safety line from the fire truck, and made contact with the pup, who was uninjured and happy to see a friendly face.<br /><br />Video footage shows the moment three firefighters struggle to get the dog out of the hole due to the small opening, and encouraging her with "come on sweetheart".<br /><br />Filmed 9th Feb 2022.
