It's estimated that tens of thousands of women have been coerced by abusive partners into taking out superannuation early, under the federal government's pandemic relief scheme. Alexandra Kelly is a case worker at the Financial Rights Legal Centre. She says the situation has created a "perfect storm" that has the potential to affect women throughout their lives.
