Instagram Videos Now Have , Auto-Generated Captions.<br />Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced the new feature on March 1.<br />The captions will be on by default with <br />the option to turn them off.<br />According to an Instagram news release, <br />"select languages" will be available to choose from.<br />More languages will be <br />added in the coming months.<br />Instagram notes that the captions may not be perfect right away, as the AI needs to learn to help them improve.<br />In addition to providing accessibility <br />to the hearing impaired, .<br />it is possible the feature will keep users who aren't able to watch videos with sound on the platform longer.<br />The Verge reports rival TikTok implemented auto-captions last April
