<p>Six young men have been arrested following the death of a 53-year-old man who was found fatally injured outside an Asda supermarket. </p><p>Emergency services were called after the victim was discovered near the superstore on Jinnah Road, in Redditch, Worcs., at 7.20pm on Tuesday (8/3).</p><p>Despite the efforts of officers and paramedics who attended the scene, the man, from Redditch, was pronounced dead. </p><p>West Mercia Police said six young men were arrested in connection with the incident following a search of the nearby area and remain in custody today (Wed).</p><p>A force spokesperson said: "Officers are currently supporting the man’s family at this extremely difficult time. </p><p>"Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing."</p><p>A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called to an incident on Jinnah Road at 7.19pm last night. </p><p>"Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and two Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Cars attended the scene. </p><p>"On arrival we discovered a male patient who was in a critical condition. </p><p>"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."</p><p>Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 or visit https://www.westmercia.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/.</p><p>Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111or by visiting https://crimestoppers-uk.org/.</p>
