<p>This heart-breaking video shows a talented British footballer left struggling to walk after being left in a coma following a single punch to the head in Australia.</p><p>The footage has been released by Danny Hodgson's devastated parents ahead of his 17-year-old attacker's appearance in court on Friday.</p><p>The video shows the brave 26-year-old lad taking a few steps while being held up by specialist medical staff and wearing a protective helmet.</p><p>He suffered a fractured skull and brain haemorrhage following the single punch blow at Perth train station on September 5, last year.</p><p>They said: “On Sunday, September 5 2021, our world was shattered when we learned that our son Danny Hodgson had been rushed to hospital following an unprovoked attack at the Perth Train Station.</p><p>"It was a single moment in time that would not only alter the course of his life, but the lives of all those who know and love him.</p><p>“This Friday, March 18 the person who irrevocably changed Danny’s future through an unimaginable act of violence will be sentenced."</p>
