Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad has responded to the widespread criticism on his blog post on the situation in France.<br /><br />Mahathir said that only one part of his post was highlighted and claimed that his views were misrepresented to portray him as encouraging violence.<br /><br />Twitter and Facebook had also deleted the nonagenarian's posts, which came in the wake of an attacker with a knife killing at least three people and wounding several others at a church in the French city of Nice.
