<p>This is the terrifying moment a large tornado ripped through New Orleans - destroying everything in its path.</p><p>The tornado tore through the cities metropolitan area late last night (22/03) ripping roofs off homes, flipping cars, killing at least one person and injuring several others.</p><p>In the video the ominous dark clouds and funnel can be seen hovering in the distance as lightning and hale rains down on multiple rows of houses.</p><p>An eye witness said: "We are used to hurricanes here in New Orleans but this was like nothing I'd ever seen before.</p><p>"The destruction from the tornado has been devastating, and many people have lost their homes."</p><p>The National Weather Service confirmed this morning that at least two tornadoes were confirmed in the region.<br></p>
