<p>A man thought he found a fox stuck behind his garden fence – but it turned out to be DEER.<br></p><p>Steven Mace, 54, wandered into his back garden after hearing a banging noise – and got the surprise of his life. </p><p>The workshop manager, from Eaton, Norwich, spotted some fur sticking out from underneath their fence panel and thought it might be a fox. </p><p>But he was surprised to learn it was actually a DEER – which has somehow slipped between his fence and next door’s wall. </p><p>The video, filmed on March 24, shows Steven’s attempts to rescue the panicked animal – which eventually slipped free and bounded away. </p><p>Steven said: “I just took a look, and there it was. </p><p>"I saw the colour so I thought it might be a fox - I was definitely not expecting a deer!</p><p>"I was honestly shocked it managed to fit in there.</p><p>"Once it was free of the fence panel it darted away - it just ran off through the garden and carried on going.<br></p>
