In a statement to the House of Commons, transport secretary Grant Shapps laid out a “package of nine measures that will force them (P&O Ferries) to rethink their decision”.<br /><br />Shapps admitted that government threats so far had “fallen on deaf ears” but “no British workers should be treated this way” and that the “game is up”.<br /><br />Measures included collaborating with other nations to create a global framework for an “international living wage”.
