<p>Giant hail the size of GOLF BALLS battered Sebring, Florida on Monday (03/04). </p><p>A resident of the sunshine state took to Twitter to share a video of the extreme weather.</p><p>They said: “I just got hit by hail in Florida!”</p><p>Severe storms have caused hail storms and torrential rain across the entire state.</p><p>The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for the Fort Myers area, warning of hail and strong wind gusts after videos emerged of hailstones causing damage to cars and buildings.</p><p>Florida has the highest level of thunderstorms in the United States but rarely hail, as it melts before it reaches the ground.</p>
