SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER's wife, Meredith Scudder, wept with joy when her man was led to the 18th green at the Masters last night.<br /><br />The 25-year-old American secured victory at Augusta with a brilliant performance to beat off competition from Rory McIlroy.<br /><br />Scottie Scheffler receives an enthusiastic welcome on the 18th hole of the Masters, and his wife Meredith struggles to contain his emotions!<br /><br />As she watched her man receive much support from the American crowd, Meredith burst into tears as he neared the finish line.<br /><br />Scheffler secured victory on the 18th, despite a nervy four-putt to end things.<br /><br />After his win, he said: "I tried to keep my head down and take shots.<br /><br />"I knew if I took care of my stuff and played solid stuff, I'd get the job done.<br /><br />"I'm kind of glad I missed those putts at the end because it meant I didn't get too excited."<br /><br />Scottie and Meredith are childhood sweethearts, having met in their school days eight years ago.<br /><br />The duo tied the knot in December 2020 in a Wonderland-themed wedding.<br /><br />Meredith has a minor in communications and a minor in business from Texas A&M University.
