he Patiayam Archaeological Site is located in the Patiayam Mountains, Kudus Regency, Central Java Province. <br /><br />At this site, around 1,500 fossils were found.<br /><br />Some of the fossils are stored in the locals' houses, and some are preserved at Ronggowarsito Museum, Semarang.<br /><br />Quoting Wikipedia, the Patiayam site was part of Mount Muria, which covers a 2,902-hectares area. <br /><br />This archeological site has intact fossils because the place is covered by volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Muria. <br /><br />Patiayam site is one of the most complete archaeological sites in Indonesia.
