The Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, Curiak Island Research Station in South Borneo Province welcomed the birth of a baby Proboscis Monkey on April 9, 2022.<br /><br />The sanctuary is managed by the Indonesian Proboscis Monkeys Foundation (SBI) with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) and the local government.<br /><br />The rare born of the known-as-Bekantan Monkey is the first birth in the sanctuary in 2022.
