There are a number of photographs that members of William Branham's cult of personality consider to be "holy". Some people go as far as to say that these photographs capture "Jesus", the "Holy Spirit", the “pillar of fire”, angels, and even demons. For people who have never been indoctrinated into Branham's cult theology, the photographs do not seem all that unusual. In fact, when I was a member sharing some of these photographs while trying to influence non-members to join the "Message", most people simply asked, “You don’t think that’s just light exposure?”

Many of the photographs and videos that have become relics in the Branham movement are just that. Accidental light exposure, double exposure, and more. Interestingly, Branham cult leader Pearry Green admitted this on recording. Apparently, Branham’s associate — who held the legal rights to Branham’s recording business — produced many of these “holy” photographs with a broken camera.

According to Pearry Green, he asked Sothmann to take a picture of an attorney’s house. After reviewing the photo, Pearry Green exclaimed, “Well look a-there! There’s a pillar of fire over that lawyer’s house!”

Light Exposure:
https://william-branham.org/site/research/topics/light_exposure

Pearry Green:
https://william-branham.org/site/research/people/pearry_green

Fred Sothmann:
https://william-branham.org/site/research/people/fred_sothmann
