The Minister in the Ministry of Finance says that this country is presently producing 60,000 barrels of oil per day.<br /><br />An Opposition Senator described that as a record low.<br /><br />However, the Minister says the Government is optimistic that local oil production will increase substantially by 2025.<br /><br />It was all part of a debate on the local supply of foreign exchange in the Senate Tuesday.<br /><br />Juhel Browne reports.
