This study may offend the astrology lovers! <br />According to Swedish researchers, astrological enthusiasts are more self-centered than the norm and have a lower IQ.<br />To reach these conclusions, the authors of the study interviewed 264 participants aged between 25 and 34 years old (of which 87% female) via Facebook.<br />4 criteria were considered:<br />- the belief in astrology<br />- Big Five personality traits (openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism)<br />- narcissism<br />- intelligence.<br />It appears that those who are most interested in in astrology are characterized by a high rate of narcissism and poor IQ test results. <br />Be careful, however, in qualifying these results: <br />"We do not claim that all people practicing astrology are more narcissistic (or have a lower IQ), because we can only speak about our sample... More research is needed, with larger and more diverse samples." Ida Andersson, author of the study by Lund University (Sweden)
