Umno Supreme Council member Mohd Puad Zarkashi has blasted the party's former secretary-general, Annuar Musa, for rejecting calls for the general election to be expedited because he thinks the current government was in a stable situation.<br /><br />"Everyone, including foreign investors, knows that the central government today is one with a weak majority. It can be threatened, tied up, oppressed, disrespected and abandoned at any time."<br /><br />Puad said that Annuar, who is also the communications and multimedia minister, should not underestimate the wisdom of the people in opting for a stable government.
