In 2018, while she was still a student in agro-food industry, Zalissa OUEDRAOGO became pregnant. <br /><br />During this challenging period, Zalissa started her own business by creating "Maria Trans", a company specialised in the processing of fruits and vegetables into natural juices, jams, fruit salads and granules. <br /><br />Through Maria Trans, Zalissa wants to bring a solution to the lack of processing of a major part of the fruit production of the Hauts-Bassins region in Burkina Faso.<br /><br />Today, her company produces 1,800 bottles of juice and 100 jars of jam per week. It employs six people and is present in the cities of Ouagadougou and Koudougou.
