IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar on June 20, speaking about the ongoing encounters in the Kupwara, Kulgam and Pulwama districts of Jammu and Kashmir said that a total of 7 terrorists were killed so far.<br /><br />He said, “An encounter began in Kupwara yesterday. Two LeT terrorists from Pakistan were killed on June 19. Another Pakistani terrorist was gunned down early morning on June 20; a local terrorist from Shopian, Showkat was gunned down along with him.”<br /><br />He added, “In Pulwama, a local terrorist of LeT was gunned down. In Kulgam, a local terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed and one LeT terrorist were killed. A total of 7 terrorists killed so far - 3 of them were Pakistanis and 4 were local terrorists.” Meanwhile, the encounters concluded in Kupwara and Pulwama. The search operation is underway in Kulgam.
