Dozens of firefighters and 15 fire engines have been sent to tackle a blaze in a 15-storey high-rise block in Ilford.<br /><br />A fire service spokesperson said: “The brigade was called at 2.47pm. Fire crews from Ilford, Stratford, Leytonstone, Plaistow, Dagenham and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.<br /><br />“The Brigade's 999 Control Officers have taken more than 40 calls to the blaze.
