According to the publications in the 'Nature' journal, a recent study conducted by an international team of Francis Crick Institute's archaeologists and geneticists has found that a dog's ancestry can be traced back to at least two prehistoric wolf populations.<br /><br />The study revealed the answer to the most asked questions about human prehistory by stepping closer to uncovering the mystery of where dogs underwent domestication.<br /><br />Dogs are known to have originated from the grey wolf, with this domestication occurring during the Ice Age, at least 15,000 years ago. <br /><br />But where this happened, and if it occurred in one single location or in multiple places, is still unknown.
