The disability royal commission is holding a five day hearing in Alice Springs examining the operation of the NDIS for First Nations people with disability in remote communities. The commission will examine whether the barriers faced in accessing the NDIS contribute to violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of First Nations people with disability.
