The 22nd Commonwealth Games kicked off in spectacular fashion with a stunning opening ceremony at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on July 28. <br /><br />Prince Charles narrated the Queen's message that the baton and the message inside it has travelled all across the world and declared the Games open on behalf of the Queen. <br /><br />Meanwhile, Olympic medalist PV Sindhu and the men's hockey team captain Manpreet Singh lead the Indian contingent at the opening ceremony. There are over 1,875 medals on offer and 3 new sports on the roster in CWG 2022. <br /><br />India won 66 medals in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
