Jubilant England players burst into boss Sarina Wiegman's post-match press conference singing 'It's Coming Home' as they celebrated their dramatic 2-1 extra-time win over Germany in the Euro 2022 final at Wembley.<br /><br />Chloe Kelly pushed the ball past goalkeeper Merle Frohms in the 110th minute to seal the Lionesses' first major trophy and end a 56-year wait for a major trophy for any England team, men or women.<br /><br />Ella Toone scored England's first goal with a clever lob, but Lina Magull's equalizer with 11 minutes remaining in regulation time leveled Germany.<br /><br />Wiegman was in the middle of his news conference when his team burst into the room, singing and dancing around the head table.<br /><br />Concierge Mary Earps even climbed onto the table to continue dancing as the celebrations seemed to continue well into the night.<br /><br />England's inaugural success has been masterminded by Wiegman, who has now won back-to-back European championships after his 2017 success with the Netherlands.<br /><br />“I think what we've done is really amazing. I don't think I really realized what we've done, because I haven't followed everything, but we know the whole of England is behind us," he said.<br /><br />We have had a lot of support from our fans and I am very proud of the team, the players and the staff.<br /><br />I'll need a couple of days to realize what we've done.<br /><br />“They were two teams that really wanted to win the game and that's what made it so tight.<br /><br />"Their union was also very strong, so we had a hard time playing our game, but in the end we were really itching to score a goal."<br /><br />'We have shown the quality of this team and the depth as well. I'm not sure if that's the reason, but we scored a goal.<br /><br />'When I accepted the job, you expected one thing, but we knew there was quality and great potential in this country. You expect things to work out.<br /><br />'That was one of my personal challenges. My challenge was to bring people from another country together and it worked. It is something you dream of and hope for.<br /><br />Wiegman also paid an emotional tribute to his late sister, revealing the meaning behind a gesture he made after the win when he kissed a wristband.<br /><br />"I'm kissing this little bracelet that was my sister's and my sister passed away during our prep camps," she said. 'That's a big mistake because she's my partner, but I think she was here, I think she was on the crossbar.
