New laws to restrict MPs from switching parties will not cover members of the upper house, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob told Dewan Negara this morning. <br /><br />Ismail Sabri tabled the bill in Dewan Negara today, once passed, it can be gazetted as early as August.<br /><br />This comes after the constitutional amendment bill aimed at discouraging MPs from switching parties was passed by the Dewan Rakyat on July 28th.
