Canberra's GPs are calling for an overhaul of the patient bulk-billing system, as Medicare rebate payments fail to keep up with rising inflation. The capital has some of the lowest bulk-billing rates in Australia, with many Canberra GPs warning that patients will need to pay even more in out of pocket expenses if Medicare is not better funded.
