As scheduled, Yuan Wang 5, a tracking and satellite support vessel, reached Hambantota port in Sri Lanka despite India’s objection to putting the ship in Lankan waters. <br /> <br />The Indian Government had earlier raised security concerns based on input the Yuan Wang 5 was to assist Chinese spy satellites over the Indian Ocean from August to September. Similar concerns were raised by the US Government which delayed the Yuan Wang 5 arrival at Hambantota port on 11th August.
