While Edelgard was having a casual conversation with the professor, Hubert delivered news to her: the Almyran Army invaded Fodlan's Throat, and worst of all, Holst, the leader of House Goneril is too ill to stop them. Since the Alliance has fallen, they can't send solders from the surrounding lords to help him, and the Imperial troops stationed there can't be relocated easily. Edelgard suggests going there and deal with this, making it clear to the Almyrans that they will not invade Fodlan's Throat.
